Create a quote

Send a client a price before the work starts, and track whether they accept.

A quote (or estimate) tells a client what something will cost. When they agree, you can turn it into an invoice without typing it again.

Create a quote

Open Billing → Quotes and select New quote.

Under Details, choose the Client, and check the Quote number (for example QUO-1001), Issue date and Valid until date.

Add Line items — with Add item, or From catalog for your products and services.

Add a Discount and Tax in the Summary if needed, and any Notes — scope, terms, what's included.

Select Create quote.

Send it

Open the quote and use Send — your email app, WhatsApp or a copied link — or Download the PDF. It works the same way as sharing an invoice.

Track the answer

Quotes don't update their status by themselves. When you hear back, open the quote and select Set status:

StatusUse it when
DraftYou're still preparing it
SentIt's with the client
AcceptedThe client agreed
DeclinedThe client said no
ConvertedSet automatically when you turn it into an invoice

Billing → Quotes has a tab for each status, plus search by quote number or client.

Edit or delete a quote

  • Edit — open the quote and select Edit, or use the pencil icon in the list.
  • Delete — use the bin icon in the list. This permanently removes the quote and its line items.

Good to know

  • A converted quote is finished. Its page keeps Download and adds View invoice, but no longer offers Send, Set status or Convert to invoice.
  • Quotes don't change stock and aren't counted as money owed.
  • Package limits apply. If you've reached your package's quote limit, saving a new quote tells you so. See Packages and billing.
