Park and resume a sale
Put a customer's cart on hold to serve the next person, then pick it up again.
A customer has forgotten something, or needs to fetch money. Park their cart to free the till, serve the next person, and resume it when they're back.
Park a cart
With items in the cart, select Park.
Add a Label (optional) so you can find it again — for example "lady in red coat".
Select Park cart. The till clears, ready for the next customer.
Resume a cart
Select Parked. The number beside it shows how many carts are waiting at this store.
Find the cart by its label, item count, value and the time it was parked.
Select Resume. The cart loads back into the till and is removed from the parked list.
To throw away a parked cart without selling it, select the bin icon beside it.
Prices are checked again when you resume
A resumed cart is charged at today's prices, not the prices when it was parked. If anything changed, the cart shows a message such as "Prices changed since this was parked — up 5.00, now 125.00", so you can tell the customer before you charge them.
Carts held from an earlier day are marked with how many days they've been held.
Good to know
- Parked carts are shared across the store. Any till at the same store can resume them.
- Parking doesn't hold stock. Someone else can sell the last item while a cart is parked.
- Closing the register discards parked carts. When you close the register at end of day, you're warned how many will be discarded. Ring up anyone still waiting first.
- Leaving the till? If you select Exit with items in the cart, choose Park and exit to keep the sale.
